Applications drive today’s economy. The effective use of business apps — whether mobile, web, or SaaS — is synonymous with growth and productivity. In many instances, overall customer satisfaction depends on the quality of the experience with a company’s apps.

That’s a simple fact.

What isn’t so simple is the way apps are distributed. They often reside in multiple environments — on-premises data centers, private and public clouds, and co-location sites. While this distributed structure may bring advantages, it also creates challenges for IT admins who must ensure that the apps are quickly and easily accessible to everyone who needs them.

That’s why Citrix Application Delivery Management (ADM) and Citrix Cloud Analytics are so important. Administrator guides for these two services are now available in the Cloud Success Center.

What Is Citrix ADM?

Citrix ADM (formerly NetScaler Management and Analytics System) is big step forward in application management. It’s available as a Citrix Cloud service, and also can be deployed on premises as a virtual appliance.

Citrix ADM brings together multiple, important aspects of application delivery in Citrix ADC deployments — including configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and analytics — in a single location in Citrix Cloud. Administrators can simplify the delivery of any application, in any environment, in any ADC format (multi-tenant, physical, virtual, etc.)

Key capabilities of ADM include:

  • Visibility and insights into the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops service using intelligent analytics
  • Orchestration to automate integration of network services with software-defined networking (SDN) and cloud-management platforms
  • Streamlined SSL certificate management
  • Automated configuration and service delivery

About Citrix Cloud Analytics

Citrix Analytics is available as a cloud service delivered through Citrix Cloud. Citrix Cloud Analytics collects data across Citrix portfolio products and third-party products. Using machine learning and artificial intelligence, it generates actionable insights, enabling administrators to proactively handle user and application security threats, improve app performance, and support continuous operations.

Citrix Cloud Analytics is divided into four areas:

  • Security Analytics: Helps prevent internal threats and data exfiltration attacks through User Behavior Security Analytics, protects applications from external attacks, and tracks sensitive files via DLP engines.
  • Performance Analytics: Monitors end-to-end user and app performance and highlights issues. It’s a powerful tool for root-cause analysis. It allows you to quantify user experience and app performance and supports multi-site aggregation and reporting.
  • Operations Analytics: Collates and presents information on the activities of users such as websites they’ve visited and the amount of bandwidth consumed. It also reports bandwidth use and detected threats, such as malware and phishing sites. You can use these key metrics to monitor your network and take corrective actions.
  • ADM Analytics: Available with a valid entitlement for the Application Delivery Management service. The Citrix ADM Analytics feature is an easy and scalable way to access Citrix ADC insights to analyze and improve application performance. You can use one or more analytics features simultaneously on Citrix ADM.

Citrix Cloud Analytics and Citrix ADM administrative guides provide step-by-step instructions on how to use and configure these services.
