The Citrix Endpoint Management team is pleased to announce that we have received verification for Google’s Android Enterprise Advanced Management Solution Set. As Android Enterprise becomes widely adopted, Google has created requirements that help provide customers with insights into where unified endpoint management vendors are in their Android Enterprise journey.

Android Enterprise provides four management sets supported by Citrix Endpoint Management.

  • Work Profile Management — Enables platform-level separation of work apps and data. Enterprises have control over all data and security policies within the work profile. Outside the work profile, the device remains suitable for personal use, making it ideal for BYOD deployments.
  • Full Device Management — Provides full MDM and app management for granular control over company-owned devices. Choose from 80+ settings to enforce and benefit from Android’s full suite of app management features. This option is designed for devices intended primarily for corporate use.
  • Dedicated Device Management — Transforms company-owned devices into purpose-built devices. Lock them down to a single app or suite of apps to serve specific employee or customer-facing scenarios. Enforce an extended range of security policies to prevent users from escaping apps and accessing the lock screen.
  • Mobile App Management — Benefit from Android’s full suite of enterprise app management features combined with basic device security. Distribute public and private apps, curate the Google Play Store on users’ devices, and restrict access to work apps if a device doesn’t meet minimum password policies.

For Citrix to receive the Advanced Management Solution Sets endorsement from Google, Citrix Endpoint Management must support a granular feature set identified by the Android team. The Citrix Endpoint Management team has made the following number of features available:

  • Work Profile Management standard and advanced solution set has a total of 51 available features.
  • Fully Device Management standard and advanced solution set has a total of 63 available features.
  • Dedicated Device Management standard and advanced solution set has a total of 58 available features.

These features not only earned Citrix Endpoint Management the verification from Google, they make it the most comprehensive UEM solution available for managing Android Enterprise devices.

To learn more about these advanced features, I have put together a great YouTube playlist demonstrating each one. I also encourage everyone to stay up to date with our Citrix Docs page and Citrix Tech Zone articles, where we provide details on these features and much more.

This effort, of course, would not be possible without the support of the Citrix Endpoint Management product and engineering teams. We are very excited to receive endorsement from Google and look forward to providing even more features as we continue our strong partnership with Google.
