We are ecstatic about the addition of Wrike products and the Wrike team to Citrix. While we are only a few weeks into the integration process of Wrike, we wanted to give you a look into what we have planned for the inclusion of Wrike in our Citrix Partner Success go-to-market strategies with partners.

Kicking off this blog, I’d like to introduce Aharon Weiner, Vice President Business Development at Wrike — the architect behind Wrike’s partner strategy to-date and Jedi Master at explaining the many partner opportunities with Wrike. There is no one more qualified than Aharon to explain the vision for how Wrike can accelerate the future of work with Citrix’s amazing partner ecosystem — you!

I sat down with Aharon to talk in more depth about why our collaboration is a win-win for all stakeholders.

Welcome Aharon! Can you tell us a bit about your background and role at Wrike?

I joined Wrike three years ago to help grow and scale Wrike’s overall partner strategy and expand their reach via partnerships. It’s been incredibly exciting and gratifying to design and develop the Wrike ecosystem from scratch — and watch its astronomical expansion. It feels like we’ve grown 30 years in the last three. But I am even more excited to integrate into the existing Citrix Partner ecosystem and leverage your scale and reach around the globe!

Partnering is my passion, and it seems like it’s yours, too. How did you get into this line of work?

I’m a computer science engineer by trade, but throughout my career I’ve shifted to the product side, to product marketing, and then to M&A. This ultimately led me to my true passion of the last 15 years: partnerships. I’m an ecosystem enthusiast.

Your side-to-side business development mirrors the evolution of our own partner framework, Citrix Partner Success. Tell us more about the unique Wrike ecosystem.

At Wrike, we look at everything through the eyes of the customer. Like Citrix Workspace, our platform is designed to be configured in infinite ways to solve an infinite number of unique business problems.

Part of the reason we’re so excited about joining Citrix is because of your partner ecosystem and customer reach! We believe the Citrix Partner ecosystem is one of the best in the world and can deliver on the future of work in ways that on other company on the planet can. The other nice thing is the synergy between our customer-focused experiences and your strategy to Workspace as the future of work, helping people do their best work wherever they are is very much aligned to our strategies.

The trends in the marketplace prove that today’s technology sales are focused on the customer — on the daily processes that each one of us does in the digital hybrid-work era. Every organization works differently — different lines of business, different regions, different customs — and each is at a separate stage of their digital transformation. Solution-building of the future begins with partners. Partners are uniquely positioned to consult with the customer, learn how customers prefer to work, what their business goals are, and how best to guide them through their journey.

We are incredibly excited about making our solutions available to an exponentially vaster partner community and helping millions more customers overcome roadblocks of remote work and achieve new levels of success.

Can you talk more about the intersection points between Wrike and Citrix? Where can partners add value for customers enabling remote work?

One thing the pandemic has taught us is that managing the future of work isn’t just about where we work. It’s about how and when we work.

Remote work is here to stay. As we spend less and less time in a physical office, we’ve lost critical points of human connection. How do we securely connect to the company infrastructure, content and processes on every device? How do employees talk to each other? How do we ensure that our business continues to deliver and be competitive in the market? The way we answer these fundamental questions has tremendous power to shape business outcomes.

Wrike makes work easier for people to get their work done. That’s where Citrix and Wrike bring it all together. Citrix Workspace provides that secure foundation and access to apps, content, and processes. But Wrike adds in the critical people-centric layer of helping busy, distributed teams figure out what to focus on when we’re miles apart. ‘What do I need to do today, versus what do I need to punt for later?’ It may seem like a simple problem, but in the digital era, this becomes a complex component that successful companies must master. It’s not enough to automate and digitize. We need to bring the majority of the stack that our customers need into one place — that’s what Citrix and Wrike do together.
