COVID-19 completely changed the way we perceive work. A global pandemic forced many to close their physical offices overnight and work remotely. As things are slowly to go back to normal, companies are carefully changing and adapting their strategies so they can be more prepared. Companies that had adopted flexible work and already had the infrastructure in place were able to adapt to a fully remote workforce quicker. One of the ways that they were able to achieve this was through DaaS because they had the flexibility and ability to scale up and down quickly and efficiently.

Desktops as a service (DaaS) help customers have a more agile environment to scale up and down as needed by removing the administrative overload that is required with a full on-premises environment. And in true Citrix fashion, we want to provide our customers the flexibility to design and architect their environment in a way that meets their needs — whether that’s moving the control plane to be managed by Citrix but keeping their images on premises and managed by them, or a fully managed DaaS solution, or a combination of both.

In this episode of The Click-Down podcast, Dan Feller and I invite Kireeti Valicherla, Product Management Director, and Adam Lotz, Senior Product Marketing Manager, to talk to us about DaaS. They not only discuss how the industry defines DaaS and why it’s important, but they also comment on how Citrix provides our customers with DaaS solutions. We discuss the different architectural options available to our Citrix customers.
