Early in my career, anytime I went to a sales meeting, there were very few women in the room, and, in some cases, I was the only woman in the room. Although we’ve made great strides to improve the presence of female leadership in our industry, there is still a long way to go until we see true equality.

Today there many groups that empower women to break the glass ceiling. I am proud to serve on the advisory board of one group that aims to bridge this gap and advance the careers of women in sales, Women of the Channel (WOTC). WOTC is a community within The Channel Company that is dedicated to helping women from across the IT channel thrive both professionally and personally. I participated in WOTC very early on when it was a small group, just launching the initiative with only 50 women participating and meeting once a year. It’s been rewarding to see how it’s grown and evolved each year, with more women working in the channel and rising as a community.

Each year, The Channel Company compiles a list to honor and recognize women leaders for their influence, extraordinary expertise, and vision within the channel. I’m so proud to share that 20 women from our Citrix family were named to CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel list! What an achievement!

I’m also proud that Citrix is committed to developing an inclusive culture that fosters the talent, leadership, and visibility of women.

It’s one of my great merits to not only be included on this prestigious list, but to congratulate my team for their influence and extraordinary expertise within the channel. You don’t get to this level without truly caring about partners, their Citrix peers and the individual growth of everyone around them. These exceptional women know how to foster trust, drive results and create a culture that motivates people to share innovative ideas and solve difficult problems.

Here is the full list of the Citrix leaders named to CRN’s 2021 Women of the Channel:

Ann Simon Kate Lochrie Pilkku Aasma
Danielle Jennings Lindsay Farah Polly Weiss
Denise Mendez Lisa Jensen Stephanie Meyers
Elaine YoungAe Jung Liz Fuller Sue Moynahan
Elke Ringler Maria Fernandez Tiffany Person
Felicia Guity Masako Takagi Tricia Atchison
Julie Vries Michelle Zeid

From these winners, CRN chooses an elite subset for its annual Power 100 List — exemplary leaders with proven records of success and channel influence. I am both honored and humbled to have made the Power 100 List. I would not be here without all the women and men who helped me along the way and the women I work with daily who help drive impressive results for Citrix.

Above all, winning is a team effort. I want to personally thank these women for supporting our partners and ensuring our joint success. I’m grateful for your dedication to leading, mentoring and providing critical role models that shift the culture of the technology industry. Together, we can continue to drive women to thrive in their careers, encouraging each other to take chances and push for the future of equality.
